Hoop 2 Hope We started both the Friday and Saturday basketball outreach mid January after the Christmas break. There was an increase in participation as the number of regular participants in the junior group that meets on Saturdays rose from 35 to 52 participants! The same applied to the High School group that meets on Fridays. Participation increased from 52 to 70 participants. This presented a serious challenge of supervision and effective mentorship as we lacked committed volunteers especially on Saturdays. We are grateful for Brother Aaron Saunders of Evangel Temple Toronto for stepping up to volunteer with the High School group. We are also grateful for Pastor Audley and Matthew for their active volunteer support during the season.
